Preparing for Communion Sunday, 2/22/15!
Tomorrow morning is a Communion Sunday. If you're newer to our church family, we come to the Lord's table, and observe Communion the last Sunday of every month throughout the year. So why do we do this together? Rick Holland has a really helpful thought on it, that also sums up why we do what we do at Grace:
"Jesus knew that His followers would forget Him. The apostles who lived with Him and walked with Him were likely to simply move on in the business of life. Remember that after the resurrection we find some of them back at their fishing trade. Are we any better than them? How long can we live, how many seconds and minutes and hours and days can we go, without reflecting back and remembering the death that brought us spiritual life? In the press of life, we're in a fight against forgetfulness. The most devastating and damaging thing to forget is the meaning of it all, and that's Jesus Himself and the death with which He served God and man. How often do you stop and think about the death of Jesus for your sin? How long can you go without meditating on the cross? God understands we forget. That's why He put Communion in our path."

Jordan will continue preaching through the book of Luke tomorrow, with Luke 5:27-32, a sermon entitled "When Wretched Beats Righteous." Songs we'll sing throughout the morning include the following:
1. How Deep the Father's Love for Us
4. Never Once
Looking forward to worship tomorrow morning. Hope you'll be there with us!
